Russell Westbrook and Russell Westbrook

The Los Angeles Lakers were expected to be a force to reckon with, ahead of the start of 2021-22 NBA Season. With Russell Westbrook, the leading triple-double scorer joining forces alongside LeBron James and Davis, the purple and gold army was seeming like the favorites to dominate the league overall. But as the season commenced, the tables turned tremendously and backfired the Lakers themselves. Now, it has come to a point where Warriors’ Draymond Green has dropped truth bombs on the speculated trade rumors of Brodie.

Not only has Russell Westbrook failed to fire for the purple and gold army in the absence of either LeBron James or Anthony Davis, his insane clutch-mishandles have ensured that the Lakers have gone onto lose majority of the games towards the end. But Draymond Green, who has seen the growth of Westbrook by being one of his most fierce competitors near the rim, has finally revealed insights with trade rumors surrounding Lakers from all angles.

For acquiring the services of Westbrook, Lakers let go of, Kentavious Caldwell Pope, Kyle Kuzma, Montrezl Harrell and draft picks. That being said, with the Lakers finding it hard to make room above the .500 win ratio margin, many fans feel that Westbrook’s departure might bring some positivity. But given that the team has paid such a high-price for him, it doesn’t seem like he shall be traded anywhere at least in the 2021-22 season. But as one might know, nothing in the NBA can be guaranteed.
