Steve-Kerr and Klay-Thompson
The Golden State Warriors led by Steve Kerr is looking to one-team to beat in the 2021-22 NBA Season. Having got everything in order on both the ends of the court, the Dubs are looking very impressive defensively and offensively. Moreover, after a 6-1 start and majority of their players performing, Klay Thompson is going to a valuable addition as the marquee shooter is eager to return back to his beloved-franchise after a 2-season absence.
To those who are not aware about the exact data, Klay Thompson has not represented the Golden State Warriors in an NBA game in over 800 days. His last game played was in the NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors in 2019, where the Dubs lost the title to the Kawhi Leonard inspired team. However, that is when he suffered the first of two season-ending injuries. Now after the veteran seems to be moving effectively well, he is weeks away from being able to return to the court, and the level of excitement is so strong you can feel it when he’s around.
Steve Kerr on Klay Thompson’s return to Golden State Warriors
“I think one of the reasons we’ve gotten off to a good start, and there’s a really good energy about the team, is that we all know Klay (Thompson) is going to be back and that matters to us. It’s exciting to think about,” Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr told Clutchpoints.
There is no denying that hoop fans will be excited to see Stephen Curry alongside Klay Thompson once again. As the splash brothers will look to dominate other teams from shooting from the 3-point line. Given that Draymond Green seems to having his mind perfectly set on the defensive end, Klay Thompson’s form will hold the key for the Dubs as the team tries to make a Championship run in the 2021-22 season.
Having said that Klay Thompson is one of the most fearless shooters and scorers in the modern-day NBA and if he returns to his best, there surely is no stopping the Warriors.
