Ray Allen all-time 3-pointers record in the NBA seemed to be untouchable at one point of time. But it was only possible when Stphen Curry broke all his loose in exploiting his shooting skills form behind the arc. As a result, of which the marquee Golden State Warriors player eventually has gone onto break Ray Allen’s record in the team’s latest game at the Madison Square Garden. What even more significant? Both veteran shooters Allen as well as Reggie Miller were present to acknowledge the historical feat achieved by the 33-years-old.

It did not take long for Stephen Curry to stamp his authority at Madison Square Garden and even surpassed Ray Allen mid-way through the first quarter (requiring only two 3-pointers). With the entire away as well as home crowd acknowledging and applauding Curry, both these veterans decided to give a special gift to Curry.

What special gift was given by Ray Allen and Reggie Miller to Stephen Curry?

After the game, both legends, Ray Allen and Reggie Miller also went one step further. The two legends presented the new 3-point king with a gift at the end of the game. As seen in the video, the gift was a special Warriors jersey with “Curry” and the number 2,974.

This is pretty special man. I’ve been thinking about this number for a long time. I even got it on my shoes, so basketball history. This is pretty special. Like I said, these two legends. I watched them growing up, and I understood what it meant to shoot the ball because of them and my dad. And it’s a full circle moment man. I’m blessed.”

Having said that, with more years of Curry to come, hopefully he can add many more to extend his 3-point record further to make the younger generation chase his excellence even more.
