Giannis Antetokounmpo with young fan

The reigning NBA Finals MVP, Giannis Antetokounmpo has always been a player who has always accepted his critics with a smile and deservingly is a part of zero-haters group. Be it with his most recent Oreo discovery or his All-Star game on court-commentary, the Greek Freak has always ended up winning hearts after his heart-warming and hilarious gestures. However, he ended up making a young fan feel immensely special after the Bucks vs Nuggets game as well.

To those who are not aware about the incident, a random sign from a young boy in the stands caught Giannis Antetokounmpo’s attention as the Milwaukee Bucks star was going through his pre-game routine. The kid was celebrating his birthday in a couple of days’ time and he had one simple request from the marquee player.

All the kid wanted was to meet Giannis Antetokounmpo so the fact that he got a pair of his idol’s signed shoes was an epic birthday present. His older brother, who happened to be wearing a Nikola Jokic jersey, got a gift as well as the Bucks star took the shirt off his back to hand it over to the young Nuggets fan.

This recent encounter just took Antetokounmpo one step closer to sainthood. It’s not uncommon to see players give away their shoes or their jerseys to the fans but there’s just something about Giannis’ interaction with supporters that feels so genuine.

Having said that, after a slow and injury filled start, the Milwaukee Bucks seem to have picked up the pace, making them win 6 previous games and have taken the last playoff berth in the Eastern Conference at the moment.
