Dwayne Wade gave his brutally honest advice when asked about what he would say to Russell Westbrook keeping in mind the latter’s performance and the kind of season they have had, where they have struggled, to say the least.
Russel Westbrook has been the centre of criticism for the entire NBA World due to his inconsistent performances, bad shooting stats and the overall impact that he has in the games where he honestly struggles to make any difference or help the team in any way.
The Lakers who were initially expected to create problems for any team that came in front of that have struggled, and have had slacky performances throughout the season, which was not something anyone expected from them keeping in mind the kind of names you associate with the Lakers in this season.
Addition of Russell Westbrook to the already existing powerful duo of Anthony Davis and LeBron James was something that created a bigger buzz than any super team in the league, which was a concept which Russell Westbrook hated, but went on to become a part of, alongside other big names like Dwight Howard, Carmelo Anthony, DeAndre Jordan, Kent Bazemore, Malik Monk and many others, which sounds like a team bound to create problems for others and definitely defeat them.
But what instead happened is that Lakers struggled, throughout the season, and at this point, their situation is such, that their chances of getting their hands at the Championship is completely out of bounds, and in fact, even getting a chance to play in the playoffs looks like a farfetched dream.

In the NBA on TNT show alongside the likes of Shaquille O’Neal, Dwayne wade was asked the question of what advice he would give to Russell Westbrook looking at the conditions he is playing in right now, and the kind of performances he has been having lately.
Upon listening to this question, Dwayne Wade thought to himself for a second, and said that the Lakers don’t need to worry about trade deadlines as long as they have Russell Westbrook as he has a lot more left to offer. Wade highlighted that the problem Westbrook faces right now is having to give up the ball to other teammates, while his style of playing is keeping the ball to himself and scoring. But with the kind of team he is a part of right now alongside LeBron and AD, he needs to pick his spots precisely, and therefore, Russ can only be himself and play like himself when Bron and AD aren’t on court.

Wade keeping in mind the expressive and dominant playing style of Wesbrook gave him the perfect advice, which should actually make a difference for the Lakers if they do intend to do anything about the situation in right now.

The least that you can say is that Lakers have struggled this season, in all aspects of the game, from the performances of their players overall, to their shooting, to their game making abilities, which have all combined and resulted in them slacking this season.
The lakers currently stand at the 9th position in the Western Conference with a 26-29 record this season, which is sub-par according to their standards.
With such a tight spot that they are in the league, the chances of them qualifying for the Playoffs seem very slim and what they will require right now for them to move forward, is a miracle.
