Strahinja Jokic is the oldest of the three brothers, born in 1982. He is also the tallest, standing at 6’8″. He played basketball in Europe for most of his life and was the reason why Nikola fell in love with the game. Nikola grew up watching his brother play across the continent and wanted to follow in his footsteps. However, Nikola did not try to copy Strahinja’s playstyle, which he jokingly compared to Kendrick Perkins.

Strahinja became a loyal supporter and protector of Nikola, attending all of his games and getting vocal on the sidelines. He inherited his father’s passion for watching basketball, and would sometimes punch chairs or leave the arena to calm himself down. He also has a noticeable neck tattoo that draws the attention of fans and media.

However, Strahinja also has a dark side. In 2019, he was arrested for allegedly assaulting a woman in his apartment. He was accused of choking, pushing and threatening her, and preventing her from calling for help. He was charged with second-degree assault, a felony, and two misdemeanors.

Nemanja Jokic is the middle brother, born in 1984. He is the shortest of the three, at 6’6″ but was also a basketball player growing up, and was the first successful one among them. He played Division I basketball at the University of Detroit Mercy, averaging 3.4 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game.

But Nemanja’s athletic skills are not limited to basketball. He is also a professional MMA fighter, with an undefeated record of 3-0. All of his wins are by knockout. He started his career in 2019, and has not fought since then.

They have defended him from critics and opponents, sometimes getting into heated exchanges or confrontations. For example, in 2021, they almost rushed the court when Nikola was ejected for a flagrant foul on Cameron Payne, and Devin Booker confronted him. They were held back by security guards.

The Jokic brothers have also been supportive of Nikola’s personal life. They attended his wedding in Serbia in 2020, where they danced and celebrated with him. They also welcomed his son Leon into the family in.
