The Dallas Cowboys are making considerable improvement in their roster for the upcoming 2022 season. The Boys have already brought in Amari Cooper to shake things up in their offensive line, but will still have Baker Mayfield as their starting quarterback for another season.

They have also given Jarvis Landry permission to seek a trade move during the offseason. All of this has simply irked the Dallas Cowboys faithful, who continue to wait for a Super Bowl appearance after their disappointing finish last year.

Fox Sports’ leading NFL analyst, Skip Bayless who is a self-proclaimed Cowboys fan, has continued to pin his hope on their veteran quarterback. Bayless believes that Baker Mayfield can still be a ruthless quarterback if he has top-notch wide receivers to help him out with in the offense.

Skip Bayless took to his official Twitter account, to put in his support behind Baker Mayfield. He wrote, “Baker Mayfield has been stuck with Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry. Both had to be released. Amari has No. 2 intangibles. Baker still deserves a legit No.-1 receiver.”

It is fair to say that the Cowboys have not had great luck with their wide receivers recently, and had to do away with Odell Beckham Jr, who hardly showed form during his spell at the franchise.

The fact that he went on to win the Super Bowl with LA Rams does not hide the fact that he has been ravaged with injuries and is not as reliable nowadays. However, it remains to be seen whether Skip Bayless is right in his support of Mayfield, who will be expected to produce even better results with Amari Cooper at his help.
