Bobby Wagner was born in Los Angeles, California, on June 27, 1990. Wagner spent most of his childhood in Los Angeles but later shifted to Ontario with his family. He studied at The Colony High School and developed a love for football. Wagner started playing for the school team called the Titans. In 2007, he registered 125 tackles (92 solo, 33 assists). After completing high school, he joined Utah State University, where he was a four-year starter. From 2008–2011, Wagner recorded 445 tackles, 4.5 sacks, and four interceptions. In his senior year, he was named WAC Defensive Player of the Year. Wagner was invited to play in the 2012 Senior Bowl and even became the MVP.
In 2012, Bobby Wagner decided to try his luck in the NFL Draft, and the Seattle Seahawks snapped him up as their 47th pick in the second round. He signed a four-year, $4.30 million contract with $2.51 million guaranteed.
In just his second year (2013) with the Seahawks, Wagner lifted the Super Bowl. He played 14 matches and made 120 tackles and five sacks. However, his best year came in 2016, when he led the league with 167 tackles (85 solo and 82 assisted). Bobby Wagner has been a constant name on the Pro Bowl list from 2014 to 2021. After 10 seasons with the Seattle franchise, Wagner decided to return to his hometown and sign with the Los Angeles Rams.
However, after just one season, he’s going back to where his professional career began: the Seahawks. Wagner signed a one-year contract worth up to $7 million.
