Cameron Phillip Heyward is a name to reckon with in the world of the NFL. The vastly experienced defensive tackle features for the Pittsburgh Steelers in the biggest sporting league on the planet. Heyward was roped in by the Steelers in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft and even now, he continues to feature for them.

Heyward played college football at Ohio State and immediately impressed one and all by his ability. He is the son of Pro Bowl NFL player Craig Heyward and he sure is living up to his father’s incredible legacy. Recently, Cam opened up about his relationship with coach Mike Tomlin on NFL Total Access.

The Steelers have been fortunate enough to have someone like Tomlin as the head coach. For as many as 15 seasons, Tomlin hasn’t had a losing record which is the longest streak in the NFL. Recently, Heyward talked about Tomlin on Total Access where he called him the best coach ever in NFL.

He will never take the credit for my success and that speaks to the man he is. He cultivates relationships and pushes guys and he is able to instigate different environments where we can just be competitive. I just appreciate the guy he is, he just wants to win another Super Bowl,” Heyward said.

When I came to the Pittsburgh Steelers it wasn’t just I was a part of history. I was joining Mike Tomlin, the best NFL coach to me. I got to be a part of something great and every year I feel like I can’t let this guy down. I have to perform at a high level to make sure I represent him well,” he added.

Tomlin has been a pillar for the Steelers and he continues to guide several players to a bright future.
