It’s official! The 2028 Olympics is introducing Flag Football as the new sports contest and the National Football League has already decided who shall be the ambassador. Given that the next Olympics will be held in Los Angeles, America’s most famous sport has finally got a place in the grand Games with athletes from all corners of the globe.

The anticipation regarding flag football is already heightened in the league as many prominent players such as Joe Burrow and Patrick Mahomes have expressed an interest in representing the USA in the Olympics in 2028. On account of this, many had hoped the NFL would choose the Kansas City Chiefs superstar to serve as the public figure of the event since he is widely considered the face of the league.

Although the NFL is putting a lot of faith in Hurts to be the face of the league at the Olympics, many don’t view him as the right pick. While the roster is yet to be decided, they believe the Eagles quarterback wouldn’t be the top pick for the upcoming games.

Peyton Manning aims to coach USA Flag Football team

The excitement for the 2028 Olympics was well reflected in the words of Peyton Manning as well when he covered the opening ceremonies at the 2024 Paris Olympics. The Hall of Famer forwards two names: Lamar Jackson and Tyreek Hill to definitely be on the flag football men’s team to represent the USA.

Not only did the two-time Super Bowl champion endorse NFL players to be included in the roster, but he also put forward his name to be a coach of the team representing the USA at the Olympics.

In his legendary NFL career, Manning didn’t get the opportunity to showcase his skills on a global level but being part of the coaching staff, he believed he could contribute immensely. Especially since he already has experience coaching flag football from his Pro Bowl appearance.
