Patrick Mahomes has surely earned a lot of fans in the past few years. This season as well, he has played a pivotal role in guiding his side to numerous important victories. Without much hassle, the Chiefs made their way into the playoffs and Mahomes had a huge part to play in their success.

In the Wild Card playoff game against the Steelers, Mahomes and Co were just way too good. In a rather one-sided encounter, the Chiefs thrashed the Steelers 42-21 with Mahomes scoring as many as 5 touchdowns. However, former QB Chris Simms thinks there is a player who has been even better than Mahomes in recent times.

“I love Mahomes, but Josh Allen has been even better”: Chris Simms

Simms took to Twitter to claim that although he has a lot of respect for Mahomes and he agrees to the fact that he has indeed delivered incredible performances in the last couple of years, Bills star QB Josh Allen has done even better for his side.

Everyone knows how much I love Patrick Mahomes. Yet as good as he’s been the last 2 years, Josh Allen has been even better. Allen just needs that big win to take him over the top. Sunday is that chance,” Simms Tweeted.

Although a lot of people might not agree with Simms, one thing is for sure that even Allen has been nothing short of sensational for his team. With 4,407 yards, 36 TDs, and a QBR of 60.8, Allen does qualify to be termed as a star player. Mahomes and Allen will be up against each other in the Divisional Round playoff game on coming Sunday.
