Josh Allen is a name to reckon with in the world of the NFL. Let us put it this way, if anyone prepares a list of talented quarterbacks who will rule the game in time to come, Allen will definitely make the top 3. Although the Bills couldn’t make their way to the Super Bowl, they did perform consistently well on the league stage.
Even in the divisional round playoff game against the Chiefs, they were looking all set to seal the deal, until Patrick Mahomes worked his magic in the final 13 seconds of the contest which ultimately turned things around. Nevertheless, it tuned out to be a successful season for the Bills and a lot of credit has to go to Josh Allen.
“Josh Allen had a tremendous year”: Doug Flutie
It seems like Josh Allen’s fan base is getting bigger with each passing day. Recently, former Bills quarterback Doug Flutie showered praise on Allen. Not only he claimed that he loves Josh but also went on to compare him to all-time great Buffalo quarterback Jim Kelly.
After having dinner with Joe Montana in Los Angeles earlier this month, Flutie had an interaction with TMZ during which he stated that he is a big fan of Josh Allen. “I love Josh Allen, love everything he did, he had a tremendous year,” Flutie said. “I’m not going to say he’s going to overtake Kelly, but the potential to do so is there,” he added.
Flutie was asked if Allen is already the best quarterback the Bills have ever had to which he replied by saying, “No, not when Jim Kelly exists,” but went on to add Allen is supremely talented and he tried everything he could to win the playoff game against the Chiefs.
