The Denver Broncos (6-5) will travel to NRG Stadium to face the Houston Texans (6-5) on Sunday, December 3. It will be an interesting matchup, to say the least. Both teams were written off after the first few games due to poor results. Fast forward to the start of December, and the Broncos are on a five-game winning streak, while the Texans were on a three-game winning streak before losing to the Jaguars last week.

Notably, both sides already have more wins under their belts compared to last season. This Week 13 game should answer some questions as to which team will get a significant boost for the Wildcard sport in the AFC Seed.

Sean Payton can’t seem to put a foot wrong at the moment, which is a complete 180 from the season’s early days. The frustrated Payton has more or less taken the back seat while the Super Bowl-winning head coach seems to be on the steering wheel.

Under his leadership, Russell Wilson seems to have rediscovered his old self that led the Seahawks to consecutive Super Bowl appearances and won one of them. The veteran quarterback is one of the few QBs to boast a passer rating of 100 this season.

On the other hand, the Texans managed to hit the jackpot by drafting CJ Stroud this year. The Ohio State alumnus is shattering rookie records left and right. Stroud became the first freshman NFL QB to record most games without throwing a single interception. Not only that, his 470 yards and five touchdowns against the Buccaneers are a rookie record for both most passing yards and passing touchdowns.

Why can the Houston Texans win?

Stroud will be the main man once again, which could prove to be the difference-maker on Sunday night. Even though the Texans suffered a defeat last week against Jacksonville, the 22-year-old produced another great performance, gaining 304 yards and two touchdowns.

Fellow rookie wide receiver Tank Dell will be another player to keep an eye out for. Dell has 709 yards and 7 TDs from 47 receptions in his first season in the big league.

Why can the Denver Broncos win?

If Russell Wilson is on song, then the Broncos will have a great chance of proving the odd makers wrong. The veteran has 20 touchdowns and just four picks this season. And has turned into a late-game mastermind, winning coming from behind on three occasions.
