Ja’Marr Chase continued his meteoric rise to the top of the game, with yet another outstanding performance for the Cincinnati Bengals. The Bengals came out with a close 26-19 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders in the wild card playoff encounter to elongate their season in the NFL in 2021.

During the course of the match, Chase broke a longstanding record for the Cincinnati Bengals, after becoming the first franchise player with the most receiving yards in a playoff tie.

Ja’Marr Chase finished the match with nine catches for 116 yards, beating the record held by Cris Collinsworth. The former Bengal wide receiver caught five passes for 107 yards in the 1982 Super Bowl 16.

Chase has been on the forefront the whole season, shattering records for fun. Chase is the fourth highest in NFL with 1,455 receiving yards, the most by a rookie in the Super Bowl era, while his 13 touchdown receptions were the third-most in the league this season.

The 21-year old wide receiver showed some of his best football in Week 17 against the Kansas City Chiefs. Ja’Marr Chase caught 11 passes for 266 yards and three touchdowns, breaking the all-time NFL record for the most receiving yards by a rookie in a game. It was another record that had stood for a very long time in the history of the NFL.

As expected the youngster oozed confidence after his strong showing in the playoff encounter. “I don’t think I can be stopped,” Chase said in his postgame press conference announcing himself onto the bigger stage.
