“Joe Burrow will be more special than Patrick Mahomes”- Skip Bayless has a MASSIVE prediction for the superstar’s career

Joe Burrow and Skip Bayless

Joe Burrow has been lights out in just his second year in the NFL. He’s put up stellar numbers and has led his team to the AFC championship game. This is the same team that 2 years ago went 2-14 and had the #1 overall pick. They spent that pick on Burrow and since then, everything has changed.

Joe Burrow finished the season with 4611 yards, 34 touchdowns, and a 70.4 completion percentage. Unbelievable numbers from someone who now only has 26 career starts due to the knee injury he suffered last season. It’s so unbelievable in fact that Skip Bayless has predicted the highest of highs for the young quarterback.

On a segment of Fox Sports’ ‘Undisputed’ Skip Bayless had this to say about Joe Burrow “Pro Football Focus for the whole year, guess who graded out number one in the league. Not Tom Brady. Joe Burrow. They have him number one overall. They gave Brady first-team all-pro but the second-team all-pro was Joe Burrow. The best-graded quarterback was Joe Burrow.”

Bayless further added “I love his feel for the game. He’s got a little bit of that Brady-genius for reading and getting rid of the ball. To be able to get knocked down 9 times and keep getting up and beat Tennessee in Tennessee is pretty special. I have a feeling that long term, Joe Burrow is will wind up a little more special than Patrick Mahomes.”

Skip Bayless is known for bold takes but this one, this is right up there at the top. That’s not to say that Joe Burrow isn’t a quality player because he just his but having only started a season and a half and to already be getting that kind of praise? It’s unbelievable.

That being said, if Joe Burrow and his Cincinnati Bengals walk into Arrowhead Stadium and knock off Patrick Mahomes and the reigning AFC champions, there is a serious consideration for Burrow pulling off another one of those ‘greatest seasons ever’ as he did in the 2019 college football season.
