The Chicago Bears are looking forward to starting a whole new era when the 2022 season kicks off later this year. The Bears have fired their previous head coach Matt Nagy after the side failed to produce results during his reign at the franchise.

Many fans and executives associated with the franchise did not relate to Nagy’s tactics and plays, and it has now emerged that their new No.1 quarterback Justin Fields too was not a massive fan of his former coach.

Fields’ private quarterback coach, Ron Veal who has been with him for a number of years now revealed a major secret on the duo’s relationship. Veal said that Fields did not approve of Matt Nagy’s game plan during his debut match in Week 3 of the 2021 season.

“It was bad,” Ron Veal said. “He took a beating that day. It was kind of crazy and weird at the same time. . . . I know he was a little pissed about it but I didn’t get an explanation. And I really didn’t ask because I know he was in a situation where he was really pissed off about it.”

The 23-year old rookie quarterback failed to make an impact during the game as his side lost by a massive 20 point margin against the Cleveland Browns.

Justin Fields is all set to start off fresh at the Bears this year under their new coach Matt Eberflus. The new coach will look to bring in new ideas and plans for the upcoming season and build a better relationship with Justin Fields who will hope to have a better year for his franchise in his second full season in the NFL.
