The Kansas City Chiefs, undoubtedly, have a tremendous squad. They did extremely well in the previous season and although they couldn’t reach the Super Bowl, one has to admit that they had all the credentials and the talent to win the coveted title.

One man who played a huge role in guiding the Chiefs to several wins was Tyreek Hill. So it would be fair to say that the Chiefs took quite a hit when they sent him to the Miami Dolphin. However, the Chiefs have succeeded in bringing in a pretty much like-to-like replacement.

The Chiefs have signed former Green Bay Packers wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling. As reported by NFL Insider Adam Schefter, the Chiefs have roped in MVS for a period of three years for which they have offered a $30 million deal. He will receive $18 million in the first two years of the contract.

According to NFL.com, while talking about how Tyreek’s departure allowed the franchise to rope him in, MVS recently said, “I think that with the departure of him, it gave me a really good opportunity to be in a position to come in and be an immediate impact right away. So, I think that was a huge factor into it.

Just walking in this building with this opportunity, I think that I provide a spark,” he stated. MVS gave Rodgers the credit for a massive improvement in his game. “And obviously being in the league four years playing with Aaron (Rodgers), I know what it looks like. And playing with Davante Adams, I learned so much from him. I think that my skill set will speak for itself come Sundays.

Obviously, I’ve been a top deep threat in the league for the four years in my career,” Valdes further said. “Those stats speak for themselves, but (I’m) also not limited to just that, at the end of the day. Coach (Andy) Reid does a really good job of getting his playmakers the ball. I think with having Pat (Mahomes) under center and Coach Reid calling those plays, I think I fit right in,” he claimed.

Without a doubt, MVS now has a huge opportunity in front of him and if everything goes according to plan for the Chiefs, he might just turn out to be the next big thing in the NFL.
