The 24-year old quarterback recently deleted all of his Instagram posts related to his NFL team, which drew plenty of talk towards his future at the franchise, and whether he would be on the move in the offseason to another team.

Murray even clarified on his part that everything was well between him and the franchise after posting a message, but it was time the hierarchy stepped in and put an end to the rumours doing the rounds.

In a recent interview, Michael Bidwill has vouched that there is no sort of rift between the two parties and they are working closely to work out a deal that will help Kyler Murray remain with the Cardinals for the coming season.

Murray is being seen as a long term prospect for the Cardinals, and Bidwill said that the delay is only down to the fact that the quarterback contracts are often more complicated than the rest.

“The window has just opened for a contract extension,” Michael Bidwill told Dan Bickley and Vince Marotta. “Certainly he’s part of our long-term plan. These contracts, especially the quarterback contracts, are very complicated.

“Most of the big ones are down further down the road, I think Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen were done in the summertime.  Others were done in the summertime. So we’ve got time but they’re complicated. We also have other priorities.”

“Free agency starts here in just a couple of weeks as well as we’ve got to get some guys re-signed. The salary cap is all one big pie and you are making room for a new piece of the pie that is going to replace the rookie contract. Again, the structure of it, the timing of it, it’s a complicated process and it takes some time.”

“In the meantime, we’ve got to get some key free agents re-signed. There are going to be some other free agents out there that you’ll need to ask Steve about the specifics around what he plans to do, but I know we are going to be aggressive and I know Kyler is a part of our long-term plan.”
