One of the best quarterbacks in the league currently, Jimmy Garoppolo got injured during the San Francisco 49ers’ game against the Miami Dolphins. Jimmy G suffered an injury during the first quarter of the match when hurt his ankle and at first glance, it didn’t look good at all. He was assisted by the medical team and was taken to the locker room immediately.

After the match, it was revealed that Garoppolo suffered a foot fracture, which meant that his season was over. Garoppolo wasn’t the QB1 for the 49ers after the start of the season. He stepped in for the injured Trey Lance and after weeks, was finally syncing well with the team until he got injured on Sunday.

He completed two of his four passes for 56 yards in the first quarter before 22-year-old Brock Purdy came to the 49ers’ rescue. The 49ers, led by Purdy for a change, defeated the Dolphins 33-17 to go 8-4 for the season.

Garoppolo has had his fair share of injuries in the past and when it finally looked like a good stretch for him, fate struck him again. This is also the second time this season that the lead quarterback of the Niners has been ruled out of the season due to an injury.

The 49ers fans were very upset with Garoppolo’s injury given the team’s good run this season. They looked strong for the playoffs and Jimmy’s injury will surely be a huge setback in their attempt to win the Super Bowl.

With an 8-4 record, the 49ers are currently at the top of the NFC West division. They are a game clear of the second-placed Seahawks and are the 4th best team in the NFC after the Eagles, the Vikings, and the Cowboys.
