49ers Star Receiver Deebo Samuel wants trade move amidst interest from Chiefs, Packers and the Jets
The relationship between the San Francisco 49ers and wide receiver Deebo Samuel has been troublesome to say the least in the past few months. Deebo Samuel has removed his pictures with the 49ers from his Instagram account and also unfollowed them.
While earlier the San Francisco 49ers were eager to keep hold of their star wide receiver, it’s clear now that they don’t see eye to eye. Deebo Samuel has rejected an offer for a long time contract and wants out.

In a talk with ESPN’s Jeff Darlington, Deebo Samuel has said that he wants a trade move out of the San Francisco 49ers. Although he hasn’t stated any particular reason why he has decided this, it’s clear that he is not intent on staying.
The 49ers were confident in the offseason that they will be able to keep hold of wide receiver Deebo Samuel and defensive end Nick Bosa. Additionally San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch and coach Kyle Shanahan were adamant that they will be able to finalize deals for both players.
“Like I’ve long said, those guys are going to be a part of us for a long, long time,” Lynch said. “They’re fantastic players. They’re very much at the core of who we are and they’re fabulous players, fabulous people and a big part of who we are.”
“But we need to figure it out,” Shanahan said. “Those are guys who have earned a lot, two guys that I’m hoping that they are Niners forever, or at least as long as I’m here.”
Another reason for Deebo Samuel departure can be financially motivated as per NFL insider Ian Rapoport. With receivers all over the NFL getting massive contracts, he might be tempted into that as well. Additionally he recently liked a post of showing him in a Cowboys jersey which might reveal his future choice. Other teams who have expressed interest in him are the Green Bay Packers, Kansas City Chiefs and the New York Jets.
