Bobby Wagner the ProBowl linebacker for the Los Angeles Rams is known for his defensive prowess which has made him one of the best in the game and yesterday he proved it on the field once again when he tackled an animal right activist who decided to streak through the field as the San Francisco 49ers hosted the Los Angeles Rams.

It was the end of the first half with the 49ers having a 14-6 lead over the defending Super Bowl Champions The Rams when a man carrying a pink flare ran onto the field at Levi’s. The man evaded the security for some time until sadly for him he ran towards the Rams bench where he was ultimately stopped in a highlight-worthy moment. First Wagner’s teammate Takkarist McKinley tried to catch the protester but was unsuccessful that’s when Wagner decided to step in and tackled the protester to the ground per CNN.

NFL legends Peyton and Eli Manning enjoyed watching the replay of Wagner slamming the protester on their show Manningcast on ESPN and Peyton called it a veteran play by Wagner-“That’s what we’re talking about. Wagner, a veteran. Get him down, now get out and let the guys takeover. Bobby Wagner, a veteran play.”

Direct Action Everywhere an animal rights group took responsibility for the stunt, apparently, the protester was trying to raise awareness about Right to Rescue,’ an affiliate organization that looks to “help the whistleblowers facing prison time for exposing factory farm abuses and rescuing suffering animals.”

The game continue on after Wagner’s tackle and ended with the 4ers winning 24–9 in a dominant fashion against the defending Super Bowl champions the Los Angeles Ram.
