Aaron Rodgers‘ trade saga has been going on since the start of the offseason. The Packers QB gave one of his worst performances in a regular season as he failed to lead his team to the playoffs.
The Packers were also done with their star man and are currently more inclined towards giving backup QB Jordan Love a chance. The veteran QB was in a dilemma about his next destination since the offseason started. While many speculated he would retire, new reports suggest that the QB will move to New York and play for the Jets.
The Jets are seriously in need of a talented QB after the fiasco that was done by Zach Wilson last season. Rodgers can really help alleviate their squad and can even help them challenge for the division title. Apparently Rodgers is also welcoming the move and his recent conversation with the Jets is witness to that. The Super Bowl winning QB spoke to the Jets recently, and that has indirectly confirmed his time with the Packers is over.
“If they (Packers) feel like it’s in the best interest of the team, so be it. That wouldn’t offend me. It wouldn’t make me feel like a victim. I wouldn’t have any animosity toward the team,” Aaron Rodgers stated in January.
According to a new report by Trey Wingo, Aaron Rodgers has spoken to the New York Jets and a possible trade is on the cards. However, nothing is imminent or confirmed currently but the veteran QB is open to the idea of moving to NY.
Aaron Rodgers will be a great fit for the Jets

The Jets are seriously in need of a talented QB and Aaron Rodgers can fulfill that need. The New York based team has a great all round squad that can seriously challenge in the playoffs. On the other hand, the veteran QB is also looking for a change in scenery and wants to prove himself again after the massacre of last season.
Rodgers can also prove to be a great mentor to young QB Zach Wilson who has great potential but wasn’t able to utilize it in the NFL. However, there are some complications about the Rodgers trade and the Jets may have to pay a massive amount to get him to New York.
With Derek Carr signing for the Saints, the Jets have no option but to go for Aaron Rodgers. The Packers are aware of this situation and will try to get as much money as they can for him. A-Rod has a massive guaranteed money contract that runs through to 2024. The offseason drama has suddenly got more interesting as many speculate Rodgers next destination.
