“The film tells a very different story”: Aaron Rodgers defends backup Jordan Love despite poor showing against the 49ers

Jordan Love with Aaron Rodgers
Jordan Love has been a quarterback in the NFL for two years now entering his 3rd season but has only played 6 games in total. One doesn’t need to look hard for the reason behind Love’s lack of play despite being a first-round pick. Love was drafted by the Green Bay Packers where he currently backs up Aaron Rodgers the 2 years reigning MVP who since Love was drafted has had some of the best years of his career.
Love and Green Bay Packers’ decision to draft him has been under constant scrutiny forever and each time Love takes the field and fails to deliver the scrutiny and criticism intensify. The latest instance was when the Green Bay Packers faced the San Francisco 49ers in a pre-season game and Love was the starter. Love went 13-of-24 passing for 176 yards with 2 touchdowns along with his three interceptions. He also had 4 rushes for 24 yards. While the world criticized Love, Rodgers the man who Jordan Love was drafted to replace came to his defense.
Aaron Rodgers said he “felt bad” for Jordan Love

Aaron Rodgers can relate a little with what Love’s facing as he was also once a young QB backing up a Packers legend in Brett Favre. So may be that’s why Rodger’s came out in defense of Love and said-“It might look bad on the stat sheet with three picks, but the film tells a very different story.” He also said that he “felt bad” for Jordan Love with so much he couldn’t control going wrong.
Twitter had some great reactions to Rodgers’ statement-
