Aaron Rodgers and his team Green Bay Packers were in London to take on the New York Giants. The Packers have struggled this season with some bright spots here and there, but they have been outplayed by many teams they were expected to win against. This loss to Giants came down to the last possession, with the Giants winning 27-22.

The Giants now have a 4-1 record, the 2nd best record in the league currently. Many picked the Green Bay Packers to win the game, but the game of football won’t be as exciting if things went as predicted, will it?

Rodgers and the Packers offense struggled and the Giants’ defense with Wink Martindale calling plays and nose tackle Dexter Lawrence leading the charge on the field stifled the Packers. So when Aaron Rodgers during his weekly appearance on the Pat McAfee show was asked about the game, he appreciated the Giants’ defense- Martindale and Lawrence specifically, but also seemed to be blaming a bit of luck too.

Rodgers talked about the loss -“They won the toss, referred….in the 1st half we had one more possession in 2nd half we basically had one drive and got the ball with 10 minutes left on the clock in the 4th quarter for our 2nd drive. It wasn’t necessarily a ton of stuff that they did but we just didn’t have the ball much.”

He later went on to praise the Giants’ defense and their defensive coordinator Wink Martindale-“I have a ton of respect for Wink, I think he’s a fantastic coach. They got a good scheme, they have really good players.” the 4 time MVP went on to talk about one particular player in Lawrence “97 is a premier player, and needs to probably get some more recognition for the ability that he has. Talking with our interior three (offensive linemen), they think he’s one of the top guys in the league, for sure.”

The Packers have been struggling and there has been some locker-room drama that came with it. With the other New York team-The Jets on schedule, the Packers will want to bounce back before things can become worse for them.
