AJ Brown, the wide receiver of the Philadelphia Eagles, is not happy with the comparison between him and the team’s other WR Devonta Smith. Interacting with the press in an ongoing media session, the WR suggested the fans should enjoy both of them playing for the team instead of comparing each other.

The development took place a few days after Darius Slay, the cornerback of the Philadelphia Eagles passed a remark. He said that Smith would become the best receiver in the league and people do not have to wait for long to see that.

When the media asked Brown about Slay’s remark, he answered firmly that there is no competition between the two of them and the fans should be enjoying both of them playing for their beloved team. “I think Slay is just supporting his teammate. Everybody knows DeVonta is a really good player. I think he’s giving DeVonta his flowers. I think also, that’s his opinion. I’m excited for this season, for the both of us. It’s not no competition for none of us,” Brown said.

Honestly, I wish the fans would stop trying to choose, and just enjoy both of us while they have both of us,” he further added.

The 26-year-old athlete was also seen to put the gun on media when he was asked how he felt to see that the fans are also making their choices by picking team AJ and team Devonta. His answer here was also very firm. With a smile on his face, he urged the supporters to not do that.

Sometimes you see it. And I have seen reporters asking each of us questions. I don’t think you should do that. I think you should just enjoy both of us. It’s not about me and DeVonta. We’re great together. We complement off each other really well. Like I said, that’s another Wide Receiver 1 on this side of me,” he noted.

The Eagles had a fantastic season last year. They finished their season with a 14-3-0 record. Both of the WRs had been pivotal in terms of ensuring the success. AJ Brown finished the season with a record 1,496 yards. On the other hand, Devonta Smith finished the season with a record of 1,196 yards. Both of them finished the season by covering more than 1,000 yards.

The preseason games, however, did not go well for the Eagles. They lost two preseason games and drew another. The team won’t like to start the new NFL campaign with the same intent.

The Eagles will begin their 2023 NFL season on 10 September against New England Patriots
