“They showered him with money & commercials”: Antonio Brown lashes out at Colin Kaepernick
Colin Kaepernick and Antonio Brown
Colin Rand Kaepernick is a well-known entity in the world of American football. Currently a civil rights activist, Colin played six seasons for the San Francisco 49ers in the NFL. Back in 2016, Colin made a lot of headlines when he took a knee during the national anthem at the start of the games.
Colin was traded from the Denver Broncos to the 49ers back in 2011. In 2016, it felt like Colin’s NFL career ended. However, it seems like the man still has a lot of football left in him. Not long ago, Kaepernick was seen working out with all his might with the aim of making it back in the NFL.

“He’s been treated good”: Antonio Brown on Colin Kaepernick

As soon as the news of Kaepernick eyeing a comeback to the NFL started surfacing, reactions from around the world started pouring in. In fact, a while ago, Clay Travis, who has openly criticized Colin on many occasions had claimed, “In the space of six months, Kaepernick has gone from arguing the NFL is slavery to begging to be let back on the plantation.”
Most recently, Antonio Brown, another man who is known for being among controversies said a few things about Colin during an interview with This Is 50. “He’s been treated good. He’s got a Netflix documentary. Don’t get it twisted. Yeah, they didn’t let him play football. They gave him commercials. They gave him money. I am telling you the facts, the reality about what happened” Brown said when asked to comment about Kaepernick.
He further added, “Where’s he at right now? Do you see him? I’m on the streets outside every day. AB is a viable football player. AB had stats last year.” He then went on to say that Colin is a good person who took a stand for a good cause. “Kaepernick, he is a great guy, up for a great cause.”
As far as Antonio Brown is concerned, he has made it clear on several occasions that he is eager to make a comeback at the highest level. However, after all the drama that unfolded when he was a part of the Bucs, not many teams would be eager to go after him.
It will be interesting to see if and when we get to see Antonio plays in the NFL and who knows, Colin might end up playing alongside or against him someday.
