Antonio Brown has been one of the most controversial football players of recent times. The former NFL WR’s career has been drowned in controversy after controversy.
Brown was last seen in action with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers early in 2022. After being fired from the team, he has been out of football action. However, new sources suggest that AB could be making a comeback in the league.
J.R. Rickert, Brown’s agent, recently stated that numerous NFL teams have shown genuine interest in signing the WR. Apart from all the controversies and disputes, Brown is an electric player who has often been instrumental for his teams.
The former Bucs WR also helped his team win the Super Bowl, led by the great Tom Brady. However, his off-the-field theatrics always trumped his on-field performances. Now, the WR is looking for the right team to make a comeback with interest from various top teams.
“He is exploring the right fit,” Antonio Brown’s agent told CBSSports.com. Currently, no NFL team has stated openly their desire to sign Brown and these claims could just be rumors.
The former Pittsburgh Steelers WR has now turned his attention towards playing for the AFL’s Albany Empire. This will also mark his return to football after a year.

Antonio Brown prepares for his game with the Albany Empire

Albany Empire is a team from the AFL which Antonio Brown is also a part owner of according to his own claims. The 34-year-old WR is slated to play a game with them and is also swaying NFL MVP winner Cam Newton for a 1-game contract with them.
However, he is keeping that on hold at the moment and wants to prepare for it thoroughly. Brown doesn’t want to set a bad example for the team he owns and will be back when he is fully fit and prepared.
“There’s proper procedures you’ve got to do to play football,” Antonio Brown said, via WNYT’s Rodger Wyland. “You’ve got to pass the coach, the commissioner. You’ve got to be in physical condition. You can’t just pop up, so I’ve got to get my feet wet. We’ve got to get the proper equipment. We’ve got to do the right thing.”
Although Antonio Brown has postponed his appearance for the Albany Empire at the moment, the WR has promised to play for the team in the near future. His performance with them will also determine his possible future in the NFL, which is currently on the cards.
