Author Steve Almond SLAMS Fox News and Laura Ingraham after being invited by them to speak on Damar Hamlin’s injury

Damar Hamlin’s tragic injury became a national issue and spread like wildfire. The Bills DB has injured the Bill-Bengals game as he collided with Bengals receiver Tee Higgins. The 24 year old suffered a cardiac arrest and had to be resuscitated twice, once on the field, and second in the hospital.
The news outlets were on their toes throughout and invited many guests including doctors and other professionals to speak about the extent of Hamlin’s injury. Fox News anchor Laura Ingraham decided to do the same, however, it backfired spectacularly.
Fox News invited Steve Almond for an interview and to speak about the dangers and risks involved in the NFL. Almond is an author who wrote the book ‘Against Football: One Fan’s Reluctant Manifesto.’
Almond was there to talk about player safety in the wake of Damar Hamlin’s injury. However, it soon changed as the author later started to slam the Fox news network for their hate-mongering.
“I’m focused on the fans and what I essentially believe is not that any government ban is going to make football safer, and certainly not some mythic woke mob that you mentioned to try to scare your viewers,” Steve Almond stated.
Steve Almond accused Fox News of scaring the audience
Author Steve Almond was enraged and decided to call out Fox News and Laura Ingraham for relating the sport of football with politics. The author also stated that the Fox News’ entire business model has been based on fear-mongering and how to scare people.
“Oh I think that’s your entire economic model,” Almond said. “Your entire economic model is to scare your viewers. That’s your whole gig.”
Almond wasn’t done there, he also accused the Fox News host of sexual harrasment and how they use money to get out of everything while scaring all their viewers.
“It’s like at Fox News when you have hosts who are allegedly sexually harassing people,” he said. “Fox News throws money at that to make that PR problem go away.” Steve Almond stated on Fox News.
Damar Hamlin’s injury has been the most talked about issue in the whole country. The Bills DB’s injury was evaluated countless times as many ‘experts’ gave their opinion on the issue. The 24 year old is currently under critical condition at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center and his recovering slowly from his lethal injury.
