The New England Patriots and the Kansas City Chiefs are on opposite ends of the NFL spectrum this season. The Chiefs are one of the best teams in the league, with a record of 8-3. The Patriots, on the other hand, are one of the worst in the NFL, if not the worst, with a poor record of 2-9. Their head coach, Bill Belichick, is under a lot of pressure as the situation in New England has worsened throughout the season.
The Chiefs are the reigning Super Bowl champions and are looking to become the first team since the Patriots of 2003 and 2004. They have a great roster and, arguably, the best quarterback in the league in Patrick Mahomes.
With players like Travis Kelce and Chris Jones, the Chiefs are easily the favorites to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl this season. As these two teams have gone in opposite directions this season, the NFL has decided to make some changes to its schedule.
The NFL has decided to move the week 15 Monday Night Football matchup between these two teams into the week’s early games on Sunday. It will be played at noon at the Arrowhead Stadium.
This is due to the Patriots’ poor performances this season. That week’s Monday Night matchup will be between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Seattle Seahawks. This means the Eagles will play three consecutive standalone games from weeks 14-16.
The Patriots are on a four-game losing streak. They have one of the worst offenses in the league and are struggling to put up points on a consistent basis. The Chiefs, on the other hand, won their last game against the Las Vegas Raiders by 14 points.
Bill Belichick is under immense pressure after a tough season
Bill Belichick is one of the most legendary coaches in the history of the NFL. However, since Tom Brady‘s departure in 2020, the head coach has failed to lead his New England Patriots side deep into the playoffs. The Patriots’ last playoff appearance came in 2021 and since then the team has struggled to win games.

This season has been a struggle for the Patriots and Belichick. They have started their campaign losing 9 out of their first 11 games and are almost out of the playoff race. As a result of that, the pressure has increased on Belichick as calls are being made to fire the six-time Super Bowl-winning head coach.
The Patriots won six Super Bowls under Belichick. However, the head coach seems to have lost his touch and will look to end the season on a high. Their next game is against the Los Angeles Chargers this Sunday.
