Things are not going well for the Buffalo Bills on and off the field. They suffered their sixth loss against the Philadelphia Eagles in a high-scoring intense encounter. The Bills lost 34-37 in a thrilling Sunday game of Week 12. The scorecard reveals how close both teams went and it could have gone to any other’s way. However, the Eagles emerged victorious, and the Bills suffered another loss.
Nonetheless, what attracted the crowd more was Bills’ DT Jordan Phillips‘ actions. The DT got so frustrated by the attitude by one of the Eagles fan that he went straight up to his face and had some heated words. A video showcased that there was also push from the DT’s end. Luckily, Phillips’ teammates took him away from the fan, who continuously taunted the Bills team.
However, this could still lead to huge trouble for the Bills DT. Nowadays, referring decisions have been creating a lot of problems for the players. Recently, the NFL authority has put a fine on a set of players for either their unsporting attitude or their unnecessary roughness on opponent players. Josh Allen, the quarterback for the Bills, also faced a fine for showing a finger to a Cincinnati Bengals player after finishing his touchdown.
Considering all these factors, it’s highly likely Phillips might receive a penalty for shoving the fan. The incident took place outside of the field and the NFL authority does not encourage such behavior.
Another comeback drive for the Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles’ ‘players’ on their part, led another comeback drive against their opponents. After a poor first two quarters, they started rolling their sleeves up and provided the best they could provide. After a sluggish 7-17 trail in the halftime, the Eagles were too good to enforce the OT.
With the win against the Bills, they moved on to 10-1 after week 12 and have the best record across the league. On the other hand, the Bills are standing with a 6-6 record after 12 games. After a decent start to their 2023 campaign, their playoff hopes have now almost come to an end.
Hurts showed another mesmerizing performance. With 265 scrimmage yards, the QB had three passing TDs. In addition to this, he had two more rushing TDs. The QB also completed 18 of his 31 passes. On the other hand, Josh Allen, who covered more passing yards than Hurts, failed to seal things for his team. Allen went for 339 passing yards with two TDs and one interception. The Bills QB was efficient with the legs as well with 81 yards for 2 TDs.
The Eagles are going to face the San Francisco 49ers and the Dallas Cowboys in the coming high octane two weeks. With a 10-1 record, playoffs are more or less secured for the Eagles.
