Caleb Williams, the USC quarterback who is yet to enter the NFL, is already making handsome money in his final two seasons with the USC Trojans college football team. And if that wasn’t enough making him stand out of the queue, he’s the first invitee to attend the NFL combine event but refused to get the medical examination done– one of the most essential parts of the weekend.

Coming back to making NFL-level money, The Athletic reported the USC Trojans’ star quarterback signed a great count of endorsement deals worth $10 million. This makes Williams the highest-compensated player in college football, given the number is accurate and dated for the past two seasons.

It wasn’t like having a college quarterback on your roster. It was like having an NFL starting quarterback on your roster.

While many sources confirm the total earnings by the 2022 Heisman Trophy winner to be around $10 million

This market value isn’t surprising for the young college football quarterback, as he was counted among the most marketable players in college football when he transferred from Oklahoma to USC at the beginning of the 2022 season. He took over Spencer Rattler and soon established himself among the leading prospects, making him the top pick for the 2024 NFL Draft.

As Jonathan Jones of CBS Sports reported, Williams declined the medical examination he also explained why the young QB did that. The USC star has decided to complete medical exams with those prospective teams he’ll meet during the pre-draft process.

The team with whom Willams is likely to meet includes the Chicago Bears as the top prospect, followed by the Las Vegas Raiders, Washington Commanders, Minnesota Vikings, New England Patriots, New York Jets, Atlanta Falcons, and New York Giants– all looking for a good quarterback to lead in 2024 season.

Jones also revealed that Williams is expected to meet the Bears, on Wednesday. Even though he declined the medical exam in Indianapolis, it wouldn’t affect his chances of being the No. 1 overall pick in the upcoming drafts.
