While Aaron Rodgers is chilling in the middle of his ‘darkness retreat’, the former Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald has picked the perfect fit for the controversial Packers QB and it’s not the New York Jets.

During a recent episode of the Let’s Go podcast, the legendary Cardinals receiver Larry Fitzgerald and his co-host Jim Gray talked about Aaron Rodgers‘s situation in Green Bay. The Cardinals legend acknowledged the talks about the Jets going all in on the 10-time Pro Bowler, but he still believes that instead of the Jets, Rodgers reuniting with his former head coach Mike McCarthy in Dallas would be a good move.

“I know there’s a lot of conversations about the Jets,” Fitzgerald said in a recent episode of his podcast Let’s Go! “If I was Aaron, that wouldn’t be the most enticing route. It would be something a lot more controversial, like for him to go to the Dallas Cowboys, where he could be reunited with Mike McCarthy and have a team around him that is already made.”

Fitzgerald believes that the 39-year-old QB, along with the great defense they already have, can turn the Dallas Cowboys into a Super Bowl contender. However, it’s highly unlikely Jerry Jones would give up draft capital and inherit Rodgers’ contract when the Cowboys already have the expensive QB Dak Prescott on their roster.

While the sports media is constantly talking about the Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers’ next move, the former Super Bowl champion still hasn’t made a decision about his future in the league.

According to multiple reports, the Packers are done with the 4-time league MVP’s antics and are ready to move on from him by trading him away for the right package. And the Jets who are desperate for a decent QB are willing to give anything the Packers ask for the 39-year-old QB.

Furthermore, there are several other teams like the Las Vegas Raiders and the Indianapolis Colts are also trying to tie Rodgers to their team. Now, it’s all up to the quarterback to decide what he wants to do.

The 4-time All-Pro quarterback will soon announce his decision after finishing his four days darkness retreat. The QB might stay with the team that drafted him or could end up sporting a new jersey next season. Furthermore, if he does want to move to a new team, the only team that has the draft capital, cap space and a roster that could benefit Rodgers is the New York Jets.
