“They’re getting some juice with EB,” Chiefs HC Andy Reid heaps PRAISE on Eric Bieniemy following his move to the Commanders after Super Bowl success

The Kansas City Chiefs won their second Super Bowl title of the Andy Reid era, and are on their way to building a modern day dynasty of sorts in the NFL. However, they will have to do without the services of offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy, who left the franchise to join the Washington Commanders after their Super Bowl LVII game.
Bieniemy had the privilege of working with Andy Reid for ten years at the Chiefs and will now have the opportunity to work with Commanders head coach Ron Rivera. He had a huge impact on the franchise’s offensive success, as he worked closely with quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Eric Bieniemy, hasn’t had the opportunity to become a head coach in the NFL so far, but there are very few who can claim to be more deserving than the former Chiefs OC.

Andy Reid reverberated these feelings while claiming that he constantly talks with Bieniemy despite the move, and was happy that he earned a reputation for himself in the NFL.
He also felt that Bieniemy would flourish working under Rivera, given the fact that he’s a defensive head coach. It gives Bieniemy the opportunity to run the Commanders’ offense completely on his own, with less involvement from the head coach.
“He and I talk all the time, so that part was the easy part,” Reid said. “We communicate and we communicate well. I’m not telling you I wanted to lose him to Washington, but at the same time, you want what’s best for your guys.
“EB’s had a ton of interviews here for head coaches. He’s worked his tail off to have that opportunity to be a head football coach in the National Football League, and it didn’t work out, and some of it was because of the shadow that I think I cast. And we talked about it.”
“You need some juice in this thing,” Reid said. “And that’s what the Commanders are getting. They’re getting some juice with EB.”
