The Houston Texans have managed to stop the winning run of the Denver Broncos. After a sluggish start to their 2023-24 campaign, the Broncos lately found their rhythm. They had won consecutive five games and moved on to a 6-5 record y week 12.

To garner more steam on their playoff hopes, the Broncos were looking for their sixth win in a row, but they suffered a setback against the Houston Texans. CJ Stroud had another brilliant performance by registering 274 yards with a touchdown in the team’s 22-17 win.

Despite the brilliant performance on the turf, the sole attraction of the game remained Stroud’s altercation with the Broncos’ linebacker Alex Singleton. The rookie quarterback got into a shoving match with the linebacker. It remained one of the hottest moments of the game.

During the post-game press conference, Stroud was asked about the altercation. With his signature style, the quarterback used a quote from the YouTuber and Comedian Druski to explain his mentality during the game. The QB said,

I’m not gonna let someone just come and push me, especially in my house. ... Like Druski said, I'm gonna stand on business.

The quote coupled with the stellar performance on the turf reflected the personality that the rookie carries. He is confident and knows what his job exactly is. These are the reasons why he is the favorite for the AFC Rookie of the Year Award.

The Texans had the last laugh against the Broncos in week 13

After securing a 10-0 lead in the first quarter, the Texans took the driver’s seat. They also secured three more points at the beginning of the second quarter. With a 13-0 lead, the Texans were looking at thrashing the Broncos.

However, the Broncos had some other plans. They started the comeback process in the second quarter. Had not Russell Wilson failed with his throws, the Broncos would have won the game. Wilson threw three interceptions that had a pivotal role in shaping the game.

Stroud showed his magic in the final quarter with a three-yard TD pass to Nico Collins. He again proved his clutch mentality by securing the lead and the game in the fourth quarter.
