Deion Sanders‘ appointment as the Colorado Buffaloes‘ head coach was a huge moment before the start of the college football season. The Buffaloes had a poor 2022 season. They managed to win only one game last season and felt a need to change the leadership of the team. That is when they hired Sanders to lead them this season.
Sanders brought in a lot of young talented players to Colorado and they shone right away. The Buffs won their first three games this season and were the surprise of the year early on. However, Sanders and the Buffs failed to build on that and ended the season in disappointing fashion, losing their last six games. It was a massive improvement on their previous season though, and as a result, the Colorado University has designed a course around their inspirational leader.

Next semester, Colorado University’s College of Media, Communication and Information will offer “Prime Time: Public Performance and Leadership” to its students. The school’s website describes the course as:
Intercollegiate athletics and the college athlete experience are undergoing fundamental transformations as athletes gain control of their name, image and likeness and begin monetizing their personal brands for the first time.
Sanders played in the NFL for 14 seasons and won two Super Bowls. He is widely regarded as one of the best athletes ever to play the sport and was named the NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 1994. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2011.
Ex-Florida State player Deion Sanders not upset with FSU’s snub from CFP
The Florida State Seminoles finished their 2023 college football season with a record of 13-0. Despite finishing the season unbeaten, FSU failed to make the CFP’s top four. That rubbed a lot of people the wrong way with former Florida players voicing their displeasure with the CFP and their voting system. However, one former Seminole who wasn’t upset with the decision was Colorado Buffaloes’ HC Deion Sanders.

Sanders said:
Well, I can’t be upset. We’re recruiting against those guys. You gotta understand that. This is business now. A lot of people don’t look at it as business. I look at it as, this is entertainment, but this is business. So [there’s] no way you’re gonna leave Coach [Nick] Saban and Alabama out of a playoff.
Sanders led the Buffaloes to a 4-8 record which was an improvement from their 1-11 season last year. The Buffs signed Sanders as their head coach back in December last year. Although they did not have a winning season, the Buffaloes will enter next season with a lot of confidence with Sanders as their HC.
