In a ferocious encounter, the Dallas Cowboys and the Buffalo Bills are set to face each other off in the coming Sunday. Both teams share some familiarity and hence know each other’s playing style well, which can lead to a fierce battle between the two.
The biggest challenge that the Cowboys will face is to stop Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs. Diggs is the brother of Trevon Diggs, the Cowboys CB, who was ruled out due to his Achilles Tendon injury in the middle of the season. However, that did not prevent him from sharing some inside information about his brother. He provided the necessary inputs to Stephon Gilmore to stop the Bills wide receiver.
He knows him (Stefon) a lot, and we talked about it a little bit during training camp advice. I'm [also] going to go through my normal process and study him, and hope to play well against him.Gilmore said about Trevon’s advice on his brother.(Via dallascowboys.com)
It is to be seen whether Trevon’s advice comes in handy against his brother or not. The cornerback was having a good time with the Cowboys jersey this season. However, his stint did not last long as the CB tore his Achilles and became unavailable for the rest.
The Cowboys suffered a bit after Diggs got injured. However, DaRon Bland, his replacement, has earned a record for gaining the most number of pick-sixes in a single season. With such exploits, he has become a new star in the team.
Stephon Gilmore’s name is gaining a lot of attention
Stephon Gilmore is presently attracting a lot of media headlines after the game against the Philadelphia Eagles. His performance against both the Eagles and the Seattle Seahawks was highly hailed by the critics. He had a tiff with the Eagles’ man AJ Brown that became famous after he got motivated by the latter’s trash talks.
Ahead of the week 14 game, Brown had called Gilmore old, and the former had to provide a befitting reply. He did that through his game.
I just didn’t like how he called me old at the beginning of the game--So it lit a fire in me a little bit. I was mad. The only thing I could do was show him I was still here, and I think I did that today. I’ve been doing this my whole career. Covering the best guy and following him. It’s exciting because you know the ball is coming your way. I get up for those types of moments.
The game against the Bills will be nostalgic for Gilmore as well. He started his NFL career as a Bills player and the team earned him the first Pro Bowl status.
