The Las Vegas Raiders are in a phase of transformation. After the ‘much-needed’ firing of head coach Josh McDaniels and general manager Dave Ziegler, the team is trying to have redemption through Antonio Pierce, who is appointed as the interim head coach. The team indicated a change in their performance after the stellar victory against the New York Giants last week.

With the win against the Giants, the team successfully boosted the confidence and they are now going to take on the New York Jets on Monday Night Football. It is expected to be a mouthwatering clash, as both teams will strive for a possible victory.

Ahead of their incoming game against the New York Jets, the rival CB Sauce Gardner heated the environment by throwing a challenge to the Raiders’ WR Davante Adams. He said that he was waiting for a challenge with Adams and could not wait to go on a head-to-head with him. Garner also acknowledged Adams’ ability as a wide receiver.

I’m not going to sit here and write out a list. But he’s one of, if not the best, receivers in the league, so he presents a huge challenge.

Davante Adams has mutual respect for Sauce Gardener

Adams reciprocated the comments that Gardner made. In an interview with the Silver and Black Show, the WR expressed his respect towards the young CB. The WR said that Gardener had a great rookie season last year and provided success to the Jets team. In addition to this, the WR also added that he is having fun this season as well and doing his job perfectly.

Yeah man they got a lot of playmakers and some ballers over there for sure. Sauce came in last year and boomed on the scene and did his thing. He is continuing to have success which is more fun.

The Jets might be lagging this season but Gardner seems to be in good form and Adams knows that. In eight games, the CB had 26 combined tackles. This is the sole reason that compels Adams to have respect for the young-gun.

It makes it more fun for me in the end because typically that means it’s going to be less doubles if they trust their guys out there. So anytime I have an opportunity to go one-on-one with a good corner it’s going to be a good time out there.

The two will face each other on Sunday Night Football and it is to be seen who helps his team to emerge as a winner.
