Davante Adams had had a brutal fall in his career after leaving the Packers to join the Raiders. The Raiders performed miserably this season and even failed to qualify for the playoffs.
However, Adams had a great performance in his first season with the Raiders and was selected for the NFL Pro Bowl in one of the most controversial decisions this year.
The Pro Bowl game was held this weekend which saw sensational action from both conferences. However, the NFC triumphed over the AFC and the Raiders WR was a bit salty about it.
Adams took to Twitter to blame the referees and the NFL for being scripted, as there were some serious, controversial calls being made throughout the game.
“Man, not the refs controlling the Pro Bowl too. Shaking my head,” Adams tweeted. “How I get the messed up script?” The Raiders WR called out the last NFC play that was deemed illegal according to him, but the referees allowed it to go on making the NFC clear champions.
The last play of the game was highly questionable. NFC QB Kirk Cousins knelt during the last play, which is also regarded as the run and rushing is not allowed in flag football. So according to the rules, the NFC should have been given a 10-yard penalty.
However, the NFC wasn’t called out for the foul, making them clear winners. Adams called out the hypocrisy of the league in the tweet as the WR had aspired to win something this year as the Raiders didn’t even make the playoffs. However, it all could change with a new addition to the Raiders’ offense.
Davante Adams set to be reunited with former teammate Aaron Rodgers
Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams were part of a friendly banter on Twitter recently, indicating to everyone a change in scenery for the Green Bay Packers QB.
Rodgers is on his way to a potential trade to the Raiders and it was confirmed by none other than his close friend, Adams. The duo will probably be reunited again and the Raiders WR has even started house-hunting for the veteran QB.
With Derek Carr out of the side for good, Rodgers can take his place for a couple of seasons and maybe help Raiders get a good playoff run with the help of his old friend Davante Adams.
Next season looks interesting for the Raiders as they look to make significant changes to their structure by bringing in a veteran QB who can offer great skill with tons of experience.
