Colorado Boulder head coach Deion Sanders is no longer engaged to his long-time fiancée, Tracy Edmonds. After a 12-year-long relationship, the couple has mutually decided to part ways with each other, as Edmonds announced on Sunday night on her Instagram. 

The news came out as a complete shock for the internet, as the couple were known for their enduring partnership. Edmonds addressed her loved ones and fans in a recent Instagram post. He wrote: 

We have mutually decided that it is best for us to move forward in life AS FRIENDS and have made this decision with love in our hearts, respect for each other, and appreciation for the time we've shared together. Please keep us in your prayers as we go through this transition. Thank you for being there for us ALL THESE YEARS! We love you and appreciate you SO MUCH! ??❤ Tracey and Deion.

With that being said, it seems like there is no rift between the two of them, as Sanders dropped a comment on her post.

He even called her an “amazing” woman, appreciating her for being a “tremendous mother.” The Colorado college football coach then wished his ex-fiancee the best wishes for the future.

Edmonds and Sanders’ relationship was admired for its longevity as it began in 2012. After seven years of dating, the two decided to get engaged in 2019 and often shared glimpses of their lovely romance with each other.

How did Edmonds and Sanders’ love story begin?

The powerhouse couple, Sanders and Edmonds, met at a movie premiere party that she produced in 2012, according to People magazine. After just a brief conversation, the NFL legend got totally fascinated by her and asked for a friend for her business card.

The two grew fond of each other after she agreed to produce “Deion’s Family Playbook,” which Sanders pitched her a few months after their first meeting. And as they got closer to each other, the two began dating.

During an interview with People, the Hall of Fame cornerback shared the reason why his relationship with Edmonds works so perfectly. As both of them are at an age where they don’t demand much from each other, expect love and affection. Edmonds, who shares a 2016 Daytime Emmy award with Mario Lopez and Charissa Thompson for co-hosting ‘Extra’, revealed that when her and Sanders’ schedules conflicted, they still managed time for each other.
