The Colorado Buffaloes had a decent start to their college football campaign as they won their first three games after an abysmal last season. Everyone thought that this season would belong to them as the Deion Sanders-led squad was on fire. However, the team have lost their momentum as they have won only a single game in their last nine encounters. In the end, the team finished with an abysmal 4-8 record. There is hardly any doubt that they improved from their previous season but they fell well short of meeting the expectations.

Since, the team fell short of making things happen, a lot of criticism is coming their way. Deion Sanders‘ son finally opened himself up to these criticisms. Taking it to his social media account, Deion Sanders Jr. said:

Y’all stop going back and forth with these people…. We lost 8 games, let them talk they sh*t. We’ll bounce back. & now that the season is over, they have no choice but to watch us win. Every time they watch TV & get on social media they gone see us winning and running it up.

It had to come from someone’s end as things were going too harsh to Deion Sanders, the head coach of the Buffaloes. Sanders had his all liberty to create a completely different team. After taking charge, he replaced all 53 players on the roster with new and fresh blood. He introduced his son Shedeur Sanders as the regular quarterback this season. Along with Shedeur, he had Travis Hunter in the wideout position. Both were having a blast. However, that did not last for long.

Deion Sanders has to think differently

After the abysmal journey in the latter half of the season, head coach Deion Sanders has to think differently for the next season. There were multiple odds that went against him. The regular quarterback got injured in the latter half of the league. However, what is more striking is that the team lost its momentum in the latter part of the league.

For Sanders, it would be a challenge to maintain consistency. They had a great start and in the next season, they need to take it forward. There are some uncertainties regarding the future of Shedeur. He can be a part of the professional league. Nonetheless, Sanders wants him to continue for another season.
