“Try again next year,” Denver Broncos and QB Russell Wilson get brutally trolled on NFL Twitter after new 9-1 stat emerges

The Denver Broncos have had a season to forget as they are currently 4th in their division after winning just 3 out of 10 games this season. They traded in QB Russell Wilson from the Seahawks to turn their season around for the better, but it looks like the QB succeeded in doing the opposite.

The Broncos also signed former offensive coach Nathaniel Hackett as HC. However, their offense hasn’t improved one bit, instead, it is even more terrible than last season.

A new statistic has emerged recently on Twitter by Fox Sports, implying that if the Broncos would have scored 18+ points in each game this season, then their record would have been 9-1 instead of an abysmal 3-7 record.

This stat looks good on paper, but in practicality, it can be very different. If the Broncos were to score more than 18+ points in each game, then it is highly likely that the opposition would put in more effort to score additional points.

However, credit should be given to the Broncos’ defense, as they are the only constant in a volatile team led by Super Bowl-winning QB Russell Wilson.

If we consider the possibility of the Broncos being 9-1, then things would have been different for them as the Denver-based team would have been the leaders of their division, beating the formidable Chiefs. Although, only results matter in this beautiful game and the Broncos are far from able to get them.

The Denver Broncos would have thought that this stat would have gained them some sympathy from the fans, but it didn’t go down that way as NFL Twitter doubled down on the team and QB Russell Wilson who’s been trolled ever since he joined the Broncos.

NFL Twitter also started to draw parallels with other teams by saying if the Broncos would have scored 18+, then the Bills can also score 30+ points.

The NFL doesn’t work on ifs and buts, instead; it works on hard facts and results that the team wasn’t able to get. Denver Broncos were asked to try again next year as this season is practically over for them.

The Denver Broncos have the worst offense in the NFL and QB Russell Wilson has the worst QBR in the league currently. This probably makes them the worst team as they face off against the Panthers in their next game.
