Derek Carr has to be in some serious trouble. When he arrived in New Orleans, he expected things to be different; he hoped that he would be in a place that wanted him. However, he is struggling to make it through one season with the team.
Carr has gotten into altercations with his teammates on previous occasions, the most notable one being when he flipped out at Chris Olave for not catching the ball despite having thrown it out of bounds.
This time, one of Carr’s teammates gave it back to him. Offensive lineman Erik McCoy was seen yelling at Carr and was outraged at his QB after a play in the 3rd quarter of the New Orleans Saints matchup against the Carolina Panthers in week 14. Carr got sacked on the 3rd down play, which ultimately led to the Saints bringing in their special teams for the 4th down.
Derek Carr was walking off the field just silently staring at Erik McCoy, who was seen advancing towards him while yelling at him. It was so bad that the other offensive linemen had to hold McCoy back from making the altercation worse with Carr. Carr did not come alive until the final quarter of the game where he threw for 2 touchdowns, giving the decisive victory to the Saints.

Despite the team’s victory, fans did not hold back on X wherein they shared their criticism of Derek Carr.

Derek Carr has to find a way to earn the respect of his teammates in the locker room. Judging by the way things have been playing out this season, the Saints may be compelled to look beyond Carr just because of his on-field issues with his teammates.
