DeVante Parker suffered a brutal concussion mid-game during the first half of the Patriots-Cardinals game. The Patriots’ WR quickly went to the floor after taking a brutal hit from the Cardinals’ defender.

When Parker got up, he appeared to be stumbling in his steps and looked a bit woozy. However, all these things went unnoticed by the match officials, who asked the players to line up for the next play.

His teammate WR Nelson Agholor noticed the change in Parker’s posture and frantically raised his arms to immediately stop the game. The clock was stopped, and the game was put to a halt momentarily while Parker received his treatment.

Unfortunately, the Patriots’ WR couldn’t play as he was ruled out of the game due to a head injury. This was a major blunder by the NFL officials, and their recklessness could have seriously aggravated Parker’s injury.

Although, this mistake from the officials didn’t go unnoticed by Parker as he quickly called out the NFL for their poor officiating on his social media. “Get on yalls f—in job @nfl Thankful my brother was aware of the situation @nelsonagholor_15,” the 29-year-old WR wrote on Tuesday afternoon.

DeVante Parker‘s concussion sparked lots of outrage from fans on social media and the following Instagram story from the Patriots WR also led the NFL and the NFLPA to investigate the reason behind not stopping the game. There could be many reasons for this, and the most prominent is that the officials failed to recognize the severity of the tackle and ignored it completely.

The Patriots-Cardinals game was filled with injuries as Parker wasn’t the only one who suffered an injury.

Cardinals QB Kyler Murray also tore his ACL while the Patriots RB Rhamondre Stevenson suffered an ankle injury and CB Jack Jones’ knee was injured during the game.

The officiating by the NFL has been really controversial this season as they also failed to recognize Tua Tagovailoa‘s concussion in consecutive games and allowed the Dolphins QB to play on.

The NFL and the NFLPA are currently investigating the whole situation and will come out with a statement regarding the concussion suffered by DeVante Parker sooner or later. However, the concussion didn’t stop the Patriots as they came out victorious against the Cardinals with a score of 27-13.
