Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon is going through a rough time off the field recently. The Bengals star has now seen his name get involved in a criminal incident for a second month consecutively, after a juvenile was found injured outside his house in Anderson Township, Ohio, on Monday night.

There were several reports of shots being fired outside the NFL player’s house, which the police later attended to early Tuesday morning. The police entered Mixon’s house almost five hours after the initial report and taped the house, as part of their crime scene procedures.

Police officials reported that the injured juvenile has been admitted to a hospital, with minor injuries. However, nothing of note has come out in regard to how the boy got injured and the number of shots that were fired at the spot. Witnesses claimed that officials banged on Mixon’s door urging him to come out of his house, at around half past 11 p.m.

Joe Mixon’s sister denied any involvement on the part of the Bengals’ RB

As for Joe Mixon being potentially having anything to do with the juvenile child’s injuries, nothing concrete has been confirmed by the police officials. According to Mike Dardis of WLWT, Mixon’s sister, Shelonda has cleared her brother of having any involvement in the shooting.

Joe Mixon was slapped with an arrest warrant last month for allegedly pointing a gun at a woman, and threatening her. “You should be popped in the face. I should shoot you; the police can’t get me,” Mixon allegedly said to the unidentified woman.

However, the Bengals RB found relief from that warrant when a county judge rescinded the warrant, dismissing all the charges labeled against him. He is still not off the hook though, with the case being submitted for a review to determine the need for another warrant.

Joe Mixon has been a big part of the Cincinnati Bengals’ successful seasons both in their Super Bowl journey in 2021 and once again in 2022, when they reached the AFC Championship game, only to be defeated by the Chiefs. It would still be interesting to see whether he stays on at the franchise for the next season, given his hefty salary.
