NFL analyst Domonique Foxworth shared his top five quarterbacks list. He placed Dak Prescott on the top and Patrick Mahomes on the second position. The list also included the likes of Josh Allen (third position), C.J. Stroud (fourth position), and Jalen Hurts (fifth position). The list sparked massive controversies on social media.
There is hardly any doubt that all of these quarterbacks have proven their worth in this year’s NFL. Starting with Dak Prescott, he has been phenomenal in the last few games. With 1602 yards of passing and 17 TDs in the last five games, Dak raised his bar. Mahomes also led a brilliant comeback drive against the Las Vegas Raiders. In his rookie season, C.J. Stroud has shocked everyone with brilliant performance. Despite the Bills failing in the later half of the league, Josh Allen had a great individual tournament. Last but not least, Jalen Hurts has led the Eagles squad to have a 10-1 record in the league.
However, netizens were unhappy to see Hurts’ name at the last. They flocked in numbers and criticized the analyst for putting Prescott and Stroud over Jalen Hurts. They said that there were some personal agendas or hatred that kept Hurts away from the top spot.
Hurts’ performance this season has both earned him fans and critics. He led multiple comeback drives against the teams like Dallas Cowboys and the Buffalo Bills. Against the Bills, the Eagles were down by 17-7 in the first half but they ended up winning the game in OT. Hurts had a five-touchdown game. Despite performing well, the QB suffered criticism for having some fumbles.
Netizens lost their calm over Jalen Hurts being placed at last
Netizens lost their calm and reacted badly on the list. They expressed their agony over putting Prescott and Stroud over Hurts.
Check out some of the comments that they made on Twitter.
The Philadelphia Eagles are all set to face the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday Night Football. With 10-1 on the sheet, the Eagles will start as the favorite in the game. It will be a tough fight as both teams are on fine tracks. Hurts will face some challenges from the 49ers’ defense.
Playoffs are looking comfortable for the Eagles as they have lost only one game till date. Even if they suffer defeat in a few games that will not hamper their growth.
