Donald Trump is under fire for his comments on the budding romance between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. The former United States President, who doesn’t see eye to eye with the 12-time Grammy winner, took a not-so-subtle dig.
They don’t like each other; that much is certain. Ever since Trump came into power back in 2017, it was evident that Swift did not like the ideologies and what he represented. She chose to stay silent in the presidential election a year prior for unknown reasons but has been vocal against the Republican politician.
The ‘Blank Space’ singer is a beacon for equality and loves to talk about women’s rights. Swift despises the alleged hate-mongering that Trump’s party does through their election campaign and lawmaking. Once, she wrote a very long post on her Instagram stating that she couldn’t be supportive of someone who would not fight for the dignity of every race, irrespective of gender or color.
Three years later, the 77-year-old is no longer in the office and is once again trying to challenge for the post. On the other hand, Taylor is touring the world for the Eras Tour and recently appeared holding hands with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce after their game against the Chicago Bears last week.
The alleged couple is now a global sensation, and several people have shared their opinions on the new union. Even Trump weighed in on it, but he did not give his blessings directly. “I wish the best for both of them. I hope they enjoy their lives, maybe together, maybe not—most likely not,” he said in a recent interview with the Daily Caller.

Needless to say, these words have pissed off the Swifties (the unofficial acronym of the Taylor Swift fanbase). They don’t want any negativity to dawn on the Kelce-Swift relationship.
Most of the fans pointed out that Donald Trump is currently jobless and wants to stay relevant by making such outlandish comments. Not only that, they demanded his return to prison.
Well, there hasn’t been any response from Taylor or Travis regarding the statement. But the football fans and the countless number of Swifties can rejoice that Swift will be present in MetLife to watch Travis play against the New York Jets.
