Dak Prescott has been subjected to scrutiny a lot in the last couple of days following his abysmal outing in the Dallas Cowboys‘ week 5 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. Prescott threw multiple interceptions in the game, leading to the Cowboys getting embarrassed on national television. After the game, Prescott got brutally roasted by the former 49ers star Donte Whitner over his poor performance.

On NBC Sports Bay Area’s “49ers Postgame Live,” analyst and former 49ers defensive back Donte Whitner didn’t mince any words while talking about the veteran signal-caller Dak Prescott.

“Dak Prescott sucks, period,” Whitner said. “They talk so much about Dak Prescott being a top-tier quarterback, franchise guy. I don’t see it. I see them trying to cover up for what he lacks.”

Furthermore, Whitner went on to imply that the Cowboys’ offense has been making Dak look good with screen passes and quick throws. But on Sunday, the Niners defense made Prescott look like a tier-four quarterback, claims the 3-time Pro Bowl safety.

“A lot of quick throws, cutting half of the field off and giving him easy throws. Other than that, he’s not a quarterback that can drop back and really take advantage of a defense and carve it up. And today we saw it. The 49ers’ defense made him look like a tier-four quarterback,” said Whitner.

That is some harsh criticism against Prescott, and Whitner might’ve crossed a line in his assessment. Still, Prescott really had a bad day on the field, as he only registered 153 passing yards and one touchdown while throwing three costly interceptions. As a result, the Dallas-based football team suffered their worst loss against the 49ers in regards to points differential.

Dak Prescott and the Cowboys gets trolled by Stephen A. Smith

On Sunday, Dak Prescott and the Cowboys were the talking point of social media after they suffered a humiliating 42-10 loss against the 49ers. Prescott, especially, was scrutinized badly for his three-interception performance.

In that trend, ESPN personality and notorious Cowboys hater Stephen A. Smith took to social media to clown Prescott. He posted a brief video on his X profile, where he was seen maniacally laughing at the Cowboys fans.

Nonetheless, the Cowboys fell to 3-2 following their loss against the Niners on the weekend. Now, they will be looking to bounce back with a victory against the Los Angeles Chargers, who they are scheduled to face on Monday in their week 6 matchup.
