Drake subtly drops Travis Kelce’s girlfriend Taylor Swift’s name in his track ‘Red Button’

Taylor Swift has had one of the greatest runs in the music industry over the last year as she has not just cemented her status as one of the best pop stars but as one of the best entertainers as well. Her latest tour was a big hit and financially elevated her from a millionaire to a billionaire. Drake, in his latest song ‘Red Button’ gave her the respect she deserves with a pretty hard line.

The pop star, who has been all over the news in recent months owing to her relationship with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, featured in the 6th verse of the song when Canadian Rap artist Drake dropped this line,

He is giving his approval of Taylor Swift’s music and stating that he recognizes her talent and likes her music. The lyric goes on as

Only one that could make me drop the album just a little later.

By this, Drake is referring to the fact that Taylor Swift’s fanbase is huge and so loyal that any artist who drops their album around the same time as her is easily overlooked because her album steals the limelight.

Taylor Swift’s achievements have impressed Drake

Swift has changed the music business as it was known. She has managed to find success in multiple genres, as her music contains elements from genres such as electropop, trap, hip-hop, indie folk, and even rock. In terms of accolades, she has 12 Grammy Awards, 14 MTV Video Music Awards, and almost 100 records to her name in Guinness.

Her record Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) led her to become the first artist in over 60 years to have four of her albums all on the top 10 of the Billboard 200 chart. These are achievements that will have even Drake bowing down to you. Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s relationship has been helping the NFL as well as the Kansas City Chiefs‘ games have become another way for fans to catch their favorite pop star in person.

Kelce and Swift met at Arrowhead Stadium after the tight end was in attendance for her Eras Tour concert. The TE attempted to give her a bracelet with his phone number on it, but was unsuccessful.

Nearly 3 months or so later, Taylor Swift was seen at one of the Chiefs’ games in Arrowhead rocking the home team’s jacket sitting alongside Donna Kelce. After that point, things have pretty much been in the public domain as the duo has been spotted at restaurants and even on vacation living their best life.
