Super Bowl LVII is just a week away, and the festivities have finally started in Arizona on Monday. Coaches and players from both the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs fielded an ocean of questions regarding their preparation, strategies, and motivation as they head into the biggest stage of the NFL in less than six days.
Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni was asked questions ranging from his plans as the team heads to the Super Bowl to who’s the one guy in the team he wouldn’t let his daughter date. Sirianni gave witty, concise, and strong answers to each and every question. He has come a long way from his introductory press conference in which he looked like he had soiled his pants. Following this, he quickly became a meme on the Internet and people predicted that he would most definitely fail in doing his job.
Fast forward to two years, and Sirianni has at last given a befitting reply to those trolls that suggested he wouldn’t make it in Philly. After a tumulous first season during which he guided the Eagles to a 9-8 season, the 41-year-old bounced back and will now take the team to the Super Bowl.
Nick Sirianni reveals his mindset going into the Super Bowl

In the plethora of questions being thrown at Nick Sirianni, there was one that particularly stood out. Not because it was an interesting one or out of the ordinary. It was as simple as “Is this a must-win game?” That’s right. A reporter asked the head coach a basic question which obviously had a one-word answer. Replying to the reporter with an expressionless stare, Sirianni said, “Yeah” and moved on to the next question.
Of course, it’s a must-win game. It’s the Super Bowl! There are no second chances here. One wrong call and the game slips away from your hands and all the hard work the team put in goes to waste. This is the stage where legends are made. You either go down in history as the team that won it all or you don’t get remembered at all. It’s as simple as that.
The Eagles have been a titan during the regular season as they went 14-3 to clinch the No.1 seed in the NFC. Then in the playoffs, they had a blowout and one-sided win against the New York Giants and the San Francisco 49ers. So, they are entering the Super Bowl with great momentum. All three sections of the team have been dominant the entire season and are in sync with each other on every play of the game. Moreover, they are the favorites to win the Vince Lombardi Trophy.
However, let’s not forget that they are up against the Chiefs. Headed by Andy Reid with ‘Baby GOAT’ Patrick Mahomes as the quarterback, they have been at this stage and won, which can’t be said the same for Nick Sirianni and Jalen Hurts. So, Sirianni has a monumental task ahead of him of defeating the Chiefs and if he does will it all, then surely he will become a legend in Philly just like Nick Foles!
