Jason Kelce is usually the cool dude who doesn’t prefer to make much of a fuss on the field but rather does most of the talking on it. Yet the Philadelphia Eagles star center did not hold back regarding Jordan Phillips‘ rowdiness last Monday.

During the recent segment of the 94WIP Morning Show, Kelce called out Phillips for trying to hurt second-year guard Cam Jurgens. The Buffalo Bills defensive tackle only received a warning from the officials, and the play went on.

Kelce said:

Jordan Phillips purposely tried to hurt Cam Jurgens, and I thought it should have been a personal foul. I thought that play in particular was absolutely a disgrace that the NFL should not allow.

On 4th and 1 with 2:07 left in the first quarter from the Bills’ 47-yard line, the Eagles line for their secret weapon, “brotherly shove/tush-psuh.” Phillips moved early and rammed into Jurgens. The 35-year-old added:

I thought it was bull***** at the time. I said so to the official on the field: 'Listen, I've been running that play [for] a lot of years, and I've seen people jump offside, but Phillips made zero effort to stop.

The Buffalo Bills were the underdogs going into Lincoln Financial Field to play the Eagles. It appeared to be heading in that direction when quarterback Jalen Hurts opened the scoring just before the first quarter ended.

Shortly afterward, Phillips tackled Jurgens, and it started a chain reaction of fouls from both sides. Jason Kelce admitted that he was pissed at the officials for letting the 31-year-old Bills defender go with just a warning. He said:

I don't know Phillips. He might be the best guy in the world, but in my opinion, the NFL needs to do something about it because that shouldn't have been allowed in this game.

However, the Bills came back and quickly took a 24-14 lead with just the fourth quarter left to play, but they blew it in the dying seconds as Eagles Jake Elliot dispatched a 59-yard field goal to force the game into overtime. The night ended the way it began with a Jalen Hurts rushing touchdown as Philadelphia sealed their 10th win of the season.

Meanwhile, Phillips and DE Shaq Lawson were seen bickering with a couple of Eagles fans who did not like his rough plays and attitude. He later responded on Instagram, claiming he had no choice because the section of fans brought his family into the conversation.

I love the crowd. I love Rowdy fans; it makes the game fun. But one thing I'm not going to tolerate is someone threatening me or my family. This is a line that shouldn't be crossed.

He is correct that any tussle relating to football should only be limited to the players. Despite that fact, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer’s Marcus Hayes, Lawson could face a hefty fine and even a suspension for lashing out at a fan.
